The definition and development of enhancements to DMS and ancillary applications will be driven by Gartman's vision to maintain a superior system based on current technologies. The business needs of Gartman's customers are a principal factor in the direction the system takes. Further, the evaluation and refinement of support services are a critical aspect of product success. The model for further development of DMS and related support services relies on collaboration between customers and Gartman. This collaboration will occur through our daily interaction, and more formally, through the DMS Steering Committee. Representation on the DMS Steering Committee gives customers a direct voice into the DMS strategic planning process.
The DMS Steering Committee membership will be comprised of subscribers to the Software Support Program. In collaboration with Gartman, the DMS Steering Committee will review proposed major enhancements to DMS, assess their value to the overall community, and designate a relative priority to their design, development and implementation. Committee members also will assess performance against the service levels defined in this Agreement, and make recommendations for their improvement, when necessary. Further, Committee members assist each other in the practical application of system functions in their individual environments. The DMS Steering Committee will conduct its business in terms of the greater good, rather than parochial objectives, and will attempt to have its decision processes led by the business goals of the entire DMS community. Members will represent the consensus of the Committee, and will communicate and support the decisions made through the strategic planning process.
Because of the geographic diversity represented on the DMS Steering Committee, regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings will be conducted via conference call on a quarterly basis, and on an ad hoc basis, as necessary. An annual meeting will be conducted at a meeting site determined by the Committee membership. The DMS Steering Committee meeting schedule will be distributed in January for the first two quarters of the year, and in June for the second two quarters of the year. Gartman will prepare and distribute agendas a least one week prior to scheduled meetings, and one month prior to the annual meeting.
The following steps should be taken to provide input into the strategic planning process:
|Step 1 ||An individual or group prepares a statement which contains the information or issue to be communicated (e.g., a need for additional or improved services, a recommendation for additional system features or components, etc.). |
|Step 2 ||A member of the DMS Steering Committee is contacted, the statement is provided, and the issue is discussed. The Committee member pursues the issue by presenting it in the DMS Steering Committee forum. |
|Step 3 ||The DMS Steering Committee follows up appropriately and makes a recommendation with regard to the issue. |
|Step 4 ||Gartman provides a response to the DMS Steering Committee and to the originating individual or group. |
DMS Steering Committee Meetings. Gartman will coordinate DMS Steering Committee Meetings on a quarterly basis via telephone, annually at a meeting site to be determined by the membership, and on an ad hoc basis, as necessary. The DMS Steering Committee meeting schedule will be distributed in January for the first two quarters of the year, and in June for the second two quarters of the year. Agendas will be distributed at least one week prior to scheduled meetings, and one month prior to the annual meeting.
Gartman Responses. Gartman will prepare and deliver responses to DMS Steering Committee recommendations within 30 days of receipt.
